2nd Etobicoke Scout Group

Yes! As An Adult, You Can Help!

In today's fast-paced and changing world, young people need an edge to succeed. You know the importance of self-reliance, confidence and leadership abilities. Scouting can provide youth with these important life skills in an atmosphere that's fun and appealing to them.

As an parent or a member of the community, you can be a part of a youths scouting experience by becoming a leader or by volunteering to support the group in an administrative capacity on Group Committee. The Leaders work directly with the youth and the Group Committee functions behind the scenes. Strong Youth Leadership and a strong Group Committee are crucial to the success of our Group.

Leaders are responsible adult members who volunteer their time to run the best possible program, and to have fun while doing so. Leadership is a very rewarding experience and friends are made for life. There is nothing that compares to the satisfaction of presenting a badge to a deserving youth member. Good memories of times at camp and within the organization are treasured for many years.

If working with the youth is not for you, then helping out behind the scenes on Group Committee may be just the right fit. Group Committee provides the administrative support in areas of recruitment, registration, partner and community relations, communications, event planning and ongoing program development.

We hope you will consider joining us and help us to make a difference for our youth. For detailed information, please contact Group Chairperson, Peter Graham at 416-621-1610 or click on his name to send him an email.
