A Photo Record of our Summer 2000 Camp at HSR
Here is the Shelter up at Hurst Lake. It is really great because it provides shelter from the rain and offers a place to work when it rains. And it always rains when we go to HSR!
The Scout Trainees with their lances.
Why are Andrew and Liam carrying a log?
Before Camo - Look at those clean faces!
After Camo - I hope they wash before going to bed!
Liam doing his weight training. Philip offers his support.

Ryan and Brian practice a lance fighting drill.
Scouter Kathy and the 2 Shadow Scouts, Ryan and Brian, take some time to relax.
This is a Piaute Trap. We also learned the Figure 4 Trap, a Spring Snare and Quick Release Trigger that can be used on many traps. It was also stressed that it is illegal to trap in Canada unless you are in a "Real Survival Situation".
Before Camp was over, we took a photo of the gang along with the "Kills" board.
The stats say it all!
Philip! Where's your Lance?!
Hey! Where did that clothespin come from?
Going Home
A Note from your Advisors:
HSR 2000 proved to be the most exciting, the most entertaining and overall, the best camp we have ever attended in Scouting. Thanks to all of you for playing the "game". It was your attitude of cooperation, teamwork and pure fun that made the week so successful.
Congratulations to you all!Back to the Venturer Scrapbook Page ![]()
